Chris Lenton, DipM, FCIM, FCCA, FCIS, FRSA, Chartered Marketer is the current Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). He is also Chairman of the London Academy of Professional Education and Research, and a senior partner in a business consultancy practice.

Chris is a qualified Chartered Marketer, Chartered Secretary and Chartered Certified Accountant. He began work for BCI Plc, a speciality chemical company in finance and mergers and acquisitions. His financial career continued with Motorola before moving to Perkin Elmer. Prior to becoming Chairman of the Institute, Chris previously held the positions of Finance Director, Secretary, Commercial Director, Managing Director (CIM Holdings), Chief Operating Officer and acting CEO.

Chris left CIM in 2003 and took up a series of non-executive roles, and became Finance and Operations Director of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators before leaving in 2009 to take up his present role with CIM.
